Lo Chen, born Li Meng Fei in Shanghai in 1923, became a pivotal figure in the Hong Kong film industry after settling there in 1947. His career took off at the Great China Film Company, but it was his tenure at Shaw Brothers that solidified his legacy as a director. Known as one of the “Four Aces,” alongside legends like Li Han Hsiang, Chen's work is celebrated for its emotional depth and storytelling prowess.
