Rokuhei Susukita was a prolific figure in early Japanese cinema, making his mark as a screenwriter and director from the 1920s to the 1950s. He initially joined Makino Production, where he penned nearly 90 scripts for the beloved star Tsumasaburo Bando, solidifying his reputation in the film industry. One of his standout works, "Daikatsugeki Sôtô" (1924), showcases his ability to blend engaging narratives with compelling visuals, making it a sought-after title among collectors. In 1930, Susukita transitioned to directing, unveiling his vision with "The Strange Story of Mito Komon."
