30-Love is this quirky little comedy that really plays with the absurdity of social climbing. Bruce is this everyman, but he’s got this wild ambition to fit into a world that's just not meant for him and Jodi. The tennis match, which starts off all friendly and fun, quickly turns into this hilarious and cringe-worthy showdown. The pacing drags a bit in parts, but it manages to capture that awkward tension between the classes. The performances, especially by the couple they’re trying to impress, lean into the stereotypical snobbery, making it both funny and a bit uncomfortable. It’s not all polished, but that's part of its charm. You get a real sense of the lengths people will go to for status, and it’s refreshing in its rawness.
