3096 Days is a heavy watch, no doubt. Hormann crafts a tense atmosphere that really pulls you in. The pacing is deliberate, which I think works well for the subject matter, allowing the weight of the girl's long ordeal to settle in. The performances, especially from the lead, are raw and haunting, capturing the emotional and psychological toll of such an extreme experience. There's a stark realism to it; no flashy effects, just a deep dive into trauma and resilience. It’s a haunting portrayal of captivity and survival, making it distinctive in how it treats its themes. Definitely not an easy film, but worth considering for those who appreciate character-driven narratives.
