A Murder of Crows is an intriguing blend of action, crime, and thriller that dives deep into morality and consequences. Lawson Russell, a disgraced lawyer, finds himself in a murky world after moving to Key West. The atmosphere has this laid-back yet tense feel, typical of the setting, but it quickly escalates when he publishes a dead man's manuscript. The pacing is a bit uneven at times, but it fits the story as it builds tension. Performances are solid, with a standout from the aging novelist, Christopher Marlowe, whose character adds depth and complexity. It's got some interesting practical effects too, enhancing the storytelling without overshadowing it. Definitely a film that leaves you pondering the ethics of ambition.
