So, 'And The Lame Shall Enter First' is this interesting drama set in early 20th century America, from the 30s to the 50s. It dives deep into the psyche of this character who believes he’s some sort of biblical prophet. The transition from a disillusioned teen to a criminal is portrayed with a rawness that feels quite authentic. The pacing, I’d say, is a bit uneven but it works in building that tension. You really get absorbed in the atmosphere—there's a grit to it that's hard to shake off. The performances have this somewhat haunting quality, really drawing you into the struggles and motivations of the characters. It’s definitely one of those films that resonates on a different level than most dramas of its time.
