Andai Ia Tahu offers a unique slice of life, really. It’s set in an elevator, which is just such a confined but intimate space. The chemistry between Roi and Nata feels organic, almost electric. The pacing is interesting, a mix of tension and slow burn as they navigate their attraction amidst the whole being stuck situation. It’s got this playful yet serious undertone, exploring themes of connection and fate, which gives it depth. The performances are quite solid; you can feel the characters’ vulnerabilities, which I think adds to its charm. Plus, the practical effects, or rather the lack of elaborate sets, really heighten that sense of claustrophobia without taking away from the story. It’s one of those films that stays with you.
