Anoksia is an interesting exploration of human relationships under extreme pressure. The film sets a claustrophobic tone right from the start, as it traps the couple in their car amidst the snow. The pacing is deliberate β slow, almost suffocating, reflecting their struggle not just against the avalanche but also against the truths they've buried. The performances have a rawness that feels genuine; you can almost feel their breaths, heavy and labored. The way their secrets unfold is captivating, and while the practical effects are minimal, they enhance the sense of isolation. Itβs less about the avalanche and more about what it reveals about them, a kind of emotional avalanche, if you will. Quite distinctive in its approach, it leaves an impression long after it ends.
