So, 'Arise' is this documentary from 2023 that really digs into the whole notion of sustainability through a personal lens. The filmmaker, who's unknown, seems to take a backseat while this resourceful guy takes center stage, turning what most would see as garbage into something edible. It’s pretty fascinating how he operates within the confines of societal norms on food waste, challenging those perceptions with a hands-on approach. The pacing feels organic – not rushed, just letting the moments breathe. There’s a certain rawness to the visuals, too; you really get a sense of the struggles involved. It's not overly polished, but that works for it, I think. It feels genuine, which is refreshing in a sea of overly produced content.
