Army & Coop has a rough-around-the-edges charm that really captures that post-NHL life vibe. Mike 'Army' Armstrong, played with a mix of grit and sincerity, is on this wild chase to win back his ex, and it really digs into themes of self-identity and redemption, which you don’t always get in a comedy. The humor can be hit or miss, but there’s a certain authenticity in the struggles he faces; plus, there's some solid practical effects in a few fight scenes that give it an old-school feel.
