Art of the Devil is a striking piece of Thai horror that dives deep into the murky waters of revenge and the supernatural. Tanit Jitnukul’s direction creates an unsettling atmosphere, where the tension often simmers just below the surface. The pacing feels deliberate, allowing the viewer to soak in the dread and the potency of black magic. The performances are raw and visceral, especially the lead, who embodies her character's pain and fury convincingly. What really stands out are the practical effects — they might be jarring for some, but they add a visceral authenticity that CGI just can't replicate. This film doesn’t shy away from the darker aspects of human nature and the lengths one might go to seek vengeance.
