Aruka really nails that creeping dread, you know? It builds an unsettling atmosphere with its winter setting. The pacing is pretty deliberate, letting you soak in the isolation and vulnerability of the main character. Chris Melucci does a solid job with practical effects that add a raw edge to the horror. The sound design is chilling too, especially with that ruckus on the roof; it feels like the house itself is alive, just waiting to pounce. Performances are grounded, which makes the escalating tension all the more effective. It's not your typical jump-scare fest but rather a slow burn that gets under your skin. There’s something about that winter storm backdrop that amplifies the feeling of being trapped, both physically and mentally.
