Atlas Shrugged: Part I has this weighty vibe, you know? It dives into a world where a railroad empire is hanging by a thread as society just crumbles. Dagny Taggart, played with a fierce intensity, really carries the film. The pacing is kind of deliberate but in a way that builds tension—you can feel the stakes rise as the characters grapple with their principles. The practical effects, though not grandiose, do a nice job of grounding the story in a somewhat believable reality. Themes of individualism and the struggle against collectivism are front and center. It’s interesting how it reflects Ayn Rand’s philosophy, which gives it a unique flavor amongst sci-fi dramas. A distinct piece, for sure.
