Awaiting has this eerie, creeping tension that builds slowly, almost like a fog rolling in. You start off with Jake, who's just had this horrific accident, and then he’s taken to this isolated farmhouse by Morris, who seems to be playing the caring host. But there's this unsettling atmosphere that hangs over everything – you can feel that something's off. The pacing is deliberate, letting the unease simmer before it really ramps up. The performances are solid, with Morris bringing a real sense of menace to the role. There’s also some effective practical effects that add to the horror without going overboard, keeping you on edge. It’s not a flashy film, but it lingers in your mind long after the credits roll.
Good atmospheric tension throughout.Strong performances, particularly from the lead.Interesting take on isolation and trust.
