So, 'Baby Luv' is a pretty grim look at the destructive side of charm and desperation. Lee is this incredibly charming but deeply troubled young woman, who twists her appeal to manipulate those around her, particularly Angelo, the artist who loves her. There's an unsettling atmosphere throughout, like you’re constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. The pacing is a bit slow, but it adds to the tension and dread. The performances are raw; you can really feel the complexities in their relationship. It dives deep into themes of love, betrayal, and the lengths people will go to escape their circumstances. Definitely has that indie vibe, with a gritty realism that sticks with you.
