Bad Ben: Alien Agenda is this weird blend of comedy, horror, and sci-fi that really leans into the absurdity of its premise. You’ve got Tom Riley, who’s already had his share of paranormal issues, now facing off against aliens. The tone is sort of tongue-in-cheek but manages to keep some genuine tension, which is kind of a balancing act. The pacing is a bit uneven at times, but that adds to its charm, I guess? The practical effects, that’s where it shines; they’re low-budget but have a certain DIY appeal. Nigel Bach's performance as Riley is amusing—he does this whole everyman thing really well. It’s definitely distinctive for its quirks and the way it plays with genre conventions.
