Bad Choice Road really immerses you in the gritty underbelly of Manhattan. The atmosphere is heavy, almost claustrophobic, as you follow this newspaper editor who finds himself in over his head after clashing with his boss. The pacing feels deliberate, letting the tension build gradually, which adds to the sense of dread that permeates the film. There’s a rawness to the performances that captures the desperation of the characters - you really feel their struggles. The way it tackles themes of corruption and moral ambiguity in the news industry is pretty striking too. Practical effects are minimal, but when used, they hit hard. It's a film that lingers in your mind long after the credits roll.
