Bad Fever is this interesting little gem that captures the awkwardness of a loner trying to break out of his shell. The pacing is deliberate, almost meditative, which really heightens the tension during the protagonist's debut at the comedy club. The atmosphere is thick with a blend of desperation and hope, all while exploring themes of isolation and vulnerability. The performances are raw and unrefined, which somehow adds to the film's charm. It’s not your typical romance or drama, more of a slice of life that feels both humorous and tragic, often at the same time. There’s an authenticity here that’s hard to find in more polished productions.
Atmospheric with a slow burn pace.Themes of isolation and vulnerability are prominent.Performances are raw and add to the film's charm.
