Before the Fall has this gritty, raw feeling that really captures the chaotic atmosphere of impending doom. The way Ale retreats into his own world, drowning out the panic with music and booze, sets a wonderfully dark tone that hangs over the film. The small-town setting adds to the isolation, you know? The pacing feels a bit uneven at times, but it kind of works with the whole 'everything's falling apart' vibe. The practical effects in the meteorite scenes, while not groundbreaking, do have a certain charm. The performances, especially from the lead, resonate with that sense of hopelessness and resignation. It’s a unique take on how people cope—or fail to cope—with existential threats. There’s something haunting about it all.
