Bereavement is a pretty grim dive into the mind of a disturbed individual, and it's not shy about showing the horrors that come with that. Stevan Mena's direction really leans into the unsettling atmosphere, with those long, drawn-out scenes that make you uneasy. The pacing can feel like a slow burn at times, but it really ramps up into something horrifying. The practical effects are a standout; they’ve got that raw, gritty feel that CGI just can’t replicate. And the performances, especially from the guy playing Graham Sutter, are quite chilling. It’s not your typical horror fare—it’s more psychological, layered with themes of trauma and survival. Definitely sticks with you, for better or worse.
