So, 'Between Above and Below' is one of those films that really sticks with you. The story of Gian, a street clown, accused of kidnapping a girl, it dives deep into themes of societal judgment and alienation. The atmosphere is heavy, almost suffocating at times, mirroring Gian's struggle. Pacing is interesting—there are moments that linger, letting the tension build slowly, which I found quite effective. The performances are raw, especially the lead, who captures the essence of a man pushed to the edge. I can't pinpoint the director, which adds a layer of mystery, but the practical effects in some scenes give it a gritty realism that feels authentic to the streets. It's certainly not your typical drama, that's for sure.
