Blondie & Dagwood (1987) really captures the whimsical charm of the classic comic strip. You’ve got that light-hearted animation style that just feels nostalgic, right? It’s about time Blondie steps up when Dagwood gets canned again, flipping the usual dynamic. The pacing is pretty relaxed, perfect for a laid-back watch. Themes of gender roles and workplace antics give it a bit more depth than you'd expect from a straightforward kids' flick. The characters are voiced with a certain warmth, which makes it quite engaging despite the simple animation. There's something to be said for its practical effects, too, which add a nice touch to the overall vibe. It’s just a neat little piece of animated history, really.
