Blood Dried Hands, directed by Jason Vandygriff, is a gritty dive into the psyche of a serial killer who's as conflicted as they come. The film really nails that small-town vibe, and there's this heavy atmosphere that hangs over it, accentuated by the haunting score. The pacing can be slow at times, but it builds tension effectively, and the practical effects are surprisingly well done for a smaller production. The performances, especially from the lead, bring this raw, uncomfortable authenticity that sticks with you. Themes of trauma and the dark corners of desire are explored, making it more than just another serial killer flick. Definitely feels like it's trying to say something deeper about the nature of evil and the burden of choice.
