So, 'Blood Sisters' is this 2024 horror flick that honestly caught me off guard with how it plays with the whole sleepover trope. The atmosphere is thick with tension; you can almost feel the teenage angst radiating off the screen. Summer, our lead, gets thrust into this group where everything seems normal until the makeover goes sideways—kind of reminds me of those classic horror setups. The pacing, though, is interesting. It starts slow, building up the dread, then ramps up quite a bit by the end. Practical effects are pretty solid, too, really adds to the unsettling vibe. Performances have that raw edge, especially with how they navigate peer pressure and the lengths one will go to belong. Definitely a unique take in the genre, worth a watch for sure.
