Bluff (2007) is an interesting mix of action, comedy, and thriller elements that really plays with the absurdity of betrayal and revenge. Felipe MartĂnez Amadorâs direction brings a unique tone, where you can feel the tension shift from light-hearted moments to darker themes. The pacing is quite dynamic, sometimes rushing headlong into chaos, and at other times, lingering on the charactersâ motivations and mistakes. The performances are a bit of a mixed bag, but they fit well into the film's off-kilter vibe. I appreciate the way it tackles morality with a sort of irreverent humor, culminating in a climax that feels satisfyingly unpredictable. It's one of those films that might not get a lot of mainstream attention but has its own quirky charm.
