Bobby Loves Mangos is this interesting mix of sci-fi and thriller that plays with time travel in a pretty unique way. A school principal, caught in a dire situation, gets this video from the future warning him about a bus accident. The tone is tense, layered with an undercurrent of dread as he races against time. You see some decent practical effects, especially for a late 90s film, which adds to the overall unsettling atmosphere. The pacing can feel a bit off at times, but it keeps you engaged. The performances are solid, especially the lead β you really feel his desperation. It's one of those films that sticks with you, not because it's perfect but because it lingers in your mind.
