Break Time is this quirky little nugget of a short film, clocking in at just two minutes. It's a comedic piece, but the writing feels like it could slip seamlessly into any genre, thanks to the pre-written script from the contest. Ryan McChesney brings a laid-back charm to his role as Ryan, the man of many talents – which is sort of ironic given the short runtime. Chad Micah Johnson plays Chad, the man on the toilet, and his delivery adds a layer of absurdity that really enhances the film’s atmosphere. The pacing is brisk; there's no time for fluff here. It's an interesting exploration of everyday moments turned absurd, showcasing how even the mundane can be spun into a comedic scenario. Definitely a curiosity in the realm of short films.
