So, 'Broncos and Boy Scouts' is this quirky blend of fantasy and western, kind of unexpected. You have Brody, this socially awkward Boy Scout who suddenly gets a dose of adventure when a cowboy shows up out of nowhere. The pacing feels a bit off at times, but it adds to that oddball charm. The practical effects used for some of the wilderness scenes are surprisingly effective, making you feel the setting. There’s definitely a theme of self-discovery woven throughout as both characters learn from each other, which is nice. The performances are a bit hit or miss, but there’s something endearing about their dynamic that makes the film unique in its own right.
