Buffalo Rider is an interesting little gem, striking a balance between adventure and heartwarming drama. The setting in rural Thailand is really well captured, giving you a sense of the local culture and the annual buffalo race, which is quite a spectacle. The performances, especially from the young leads, feel genuine and bring a rawness to the story. The pacing is a bit uneven at times, but I think it adds to the charm—reflects real life, right? You can’t help but root for the underdog, and the themes of friendship and standing up against adversity resonate throughout. Plus, the practical effects during the race scenes are refreshing, steering clear of heavy CGI. Definitely worth a watch if you're into that blend of heartfelt storytelling and adventure.
