So, Canadian Bacon is an interesting blend of satire and comedy. It’s a Michael Moore film, so you get his unmistakable style, but it's a bit different from his usual documentaries. The plot revolves around this President who's struggling with low approval ratings and decides to whip up tensions with Canada to distract everyone. It’s got this absurdity woven in, especially with the characters that join in on the farce. The pacing is a bit uneven, but that’s part of its charm. The performances, especially from John Candy, really bring a unique energy. It’s got a quirky atmosphere, and the practical effects, like those goofy war scenes, really enhance that ridiculousness. Not for everyone, but definitely a unique piece in Moore's filmography.
