So, 'Cause Célèbre' is an interesting piece from 1987 that dances around the themes of guilt and betrayal. The atmosphere is heavy, almost suffocating at times, as it dives into the psyche of this woman who's caught in a web of deceit and murder. The pacing is quite deliberate, which I think adds a nice tension as we navigate the twists and turns. The performances, particularly from the lead, really pull you in – you can almost feel her desperation. It's got this raw, emotional edge that makes you question the nature of truth and responsibility. Definitely a unique exploration of morality, even if it sometimes feels a little uneven in execution.
