Child's Play 3, directed by Jack Bender, takes us back into the chaotic world of Chucky, but this time he's wreaking havoc in a military school. The tone is gritty and slightly darker, which suits the setting well. The pacing feels a bit uneven, especially in the middle, but there are some solid moments of tension that keep you on edge. The practical effects really stand out; Chucky feels more lifelike here than ever, and the stunts are pretty impressive for a sequel. Andy is now a teenager, and his performance adds a layer of complexity to the story. It explores themes of fear and control, which resonate against the backdrop of military discipline. Overall, it’s interesting how they shifted the environment from suburban to a more claustrophobic setting.
Not as well-received as the first two films.Interesting shift to a military school setting. The practical effects are noteworthy.
