Cinderella II: Dreams Come True is an interesting follow-up to the classic. Directed by John Kafka, this direct-to-video sequel dives into Cinderella's life as a princess. The animation style is less polished compared to the original, but it still has that charming fairy tale vibe. The film is structured as three separate stories, which is an unusual approach. Each segment has its own little conflicts, showcasing themes of growth and friendship. The voice performances, while not as memorable as those in the first, still bring some warmth. You can see they were aiming for a lighthearted tone, but it doesn’t quite have the same magic. Still, it’s worth a watch if you’re into how sequels try to capture the essence of their predecessors.
Released direct-to-video in 2002.Features three short stories instead of a single plot.Animation is less refined than the 1950 classic.Includes returning characters like the Fairy Godmother.
