Claustrofobia is this interesting little horror flick that plays on the primal fear of being trapped. The whole film revolves around Flávia, who finds herself locked in the trunk of a car. The tension just builds as the minute turns into an eternity. What sets it apart is how it dives into her claustrophobia, making you question what's real and what's just in her head. The atmosphere is thick, really suffocating at times, and the practical effects are surprisingly well done considering the budget. The performance by the lead is quite compelling too; there's a rawness that pulls you into her panic. It’s not your typical horror; it's more about psychological dread than jump scares.
