Clue of the Twisted Candle is an intriguing little slice of 60s crime cinema. Directed by Allan Davis, it spins a tale around a murder that happens in a locked room β a real classic locked-room mystery setup. The atmosphere is thick and moody, with shadows creeping around the corners, which adds to the sense of claustrophobia. The performances are solid, particularly from the lead, who manages to convey both tension and curiosity. Itβs not overly flashy in terms of effects, but the practical setups really ground the film, making it feel more real. The pacing has that nice, slow burn that lets you soak in the details before the reveal, which I appreciate. Worth checking out if you enjoy crime films with a bit of a twist.
