Creed is a gripping exploration of legacy and redemption, intertwining the past with the present in the boxing ring. Coogler's direction brings a raw energy, and you can really feel the weight of history on Adonis Johnson's shoulders. The pacing is deliberate yet engaging, allowing for character development alongside the high-stakes action. The performances are standout, especially Michael B. Jordan as Adonisâhe brings an intensity to the role thatâs hard to shake off. And then there's Stallone, who redefines Rocky Balboa in this new light, sharing wisdom with a younger fighter while dealing with his own ghosts. Plus, those fight scenes? Theyâre visceral, grounded, and refreshingly practical without over-relying on CGI.
