Creep (2014) is a fascinating little horror flick that really plays with the tension between expectation and surprise. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical, which adds to the discomfort as the narrative unfolds. You’ve got this hitman, right? It starts off like a typical job, but then it spirals into something much darker, more unsettling. The atmosphere is thick, with a sense of dread that lingers throughout. The performances, particularly by Mark Duplass, are raw and immersive, blurring the lines between victim and predator. It's not heavy on effects, relying instead on that creeping feeling of wrongness, which makes it all the more effective. And there’s this unsettling intimacy that makes every moment feel personal, almost voyeuristic.
