Crimson, directed by Richard Poche, is a solid little horror flick that taps into some classic tropes while keeping it fresh. The atmosphere is thick with tension, especially as these nursing students find themselves trapped with the mysterious Sammi. The pacing is a bit uneven, but it works in building suspense. What struck me was the practical effects β there's something about the gore that feels more visceral than CGI. The performances vary, but there's a rawness to the characters that lends authenticity to their terror. Itβs not groundbreaking, but it captures that late-night, 'we should've turned back' vibe that I think collectors appreciate. Plus, the exploration of moral choices in the face of horror is always intriguing.
