Cube 2: Hypercube is an interesting follow-up to the original. It digs deeper into the psychological tension of being trapped, but with a twist—literally. The cube's shifting dimensions play tricks on the mind, and the way they use practical effects mixed with digital is quite something. The atmosphere is thick with paranoia, and the performances, while varied, capture the confusion and dread well. There's a distinct coldness to the design, which complements the story's exploration of reality and perception. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but there's an odd charm in how it expands the original's concept, even if it doesn't quite reach the same heights.
