Curse of Bigfoot is one of those TV movies that really leans into the creepiness of its premise. You’ve got high school kids on an archaeological dig, which already sets a certain tone, right? They unearth this mummified body, and then, bam! It comes back to life, turning into a terrifying creature. The pacing is a bit uneven, but that adds to the charm, I think. The atmosphere is thick with tension, especially as the beast wreaks havoc in this small California town. The practical effects are pretty interesting for its time, really bringing that monster to life in a way that CGI just can't capture. There’s something about the performances that feels very earnest, which adds to the overall experience.
Interesting blend of horror and adventure. Not your typical monster movie.Good example of 70s TV movie aesthetics.
