Daffy Duck and the Dinosaur, directed by Chuck Jones, is a fun little short from 1939 that really captures that blend of absurdity and clever humor characteristic of early animation. The pacing is quick, with Daffy being his usual chaotic self, which contrasts nicely with the more primitive and straightforward approach of Casper Caveman. It kind of highlights that classic 'man vs. nature' theme but with a twist, as it's about a caveman trying to hunt a duck. The animation flows well, especially in the way Daffy's antics unfold. The voice performance is, of course, spot on, bringing that zany energy we expect from Daffy. There's something refreshing about the practical effects and the hand-drawn style that just pulls you in.
