So, Daim is one of those quiet pieces from 2012 that somehow slips under the radar. The tone is incredibly introspective, almost meditative. You really feel the weight of the characters' struggles, and it doesn’t rush to resolve them. The pacing is deliberate, almost languid at times, which really lets the themes of isolation and longing sink in. While I can't comment on practical effects since it leans heavily on the emotional performances, the actors seem to breathe life into their roles, making you feel their pain and hope. There’s something distinctly raw about it; it feels unpolished, which oddly works in its favor. Definitely a unique entry if you're into character-driven narratives that linger.
