Day 37 is an interesting little piece of sci-fi that really leans into its atmosphere. You've got just two characters, Pvt. Baker and Pvt. Mallory, and the whole film unfolds in their isolation on Mars, which is both eerie and oddly compelling. The pacing is slow, almost meditative, which might not be for everyone, but it builds this weighty tension that lingers. The practical effects, while modest, have a certain charm—it's all very grounded, which feels refreshing. There's a creeping sense of dread as they confront not just the environment, but their own minds as well. The performances are understated, yet they bring a solid emotional core, making the film feel quite personal amidst the vast Martian landscape. Definitely a unique take on the space exploration theme.
