Days Like This is such a quietly engaging film. It really captures that mundane yet profound atmosphere of everyday life through Evert, the vacuum salesman. As he navigates the cramped hallways of a Stockholm apartment building, you feel this almost voyeuristic intimacy with the tenants. Each encounter reveals layers of their struggles—there's a bickering couple that illustrates the rawness of relationships, a solitary older woman evoking a sense of nostalgia, and a young couple full of anxiety about dinner. The pacing is deliberate, almost meditative, which allows the viewer to soak in the small moments. The performances are naturalistic, really drawing you into the characters' worlds. It's a lovely exploration of human connection amidst the ordinary.
