Death Knell offers a haunting atmosphere that lingers long after the credits roll. The rural setting of the Garizmendi farmhouse is beautifully shot, with an eerie sense of isolation that deepens the tension. The story unfolds at a deliberate pace, letting the unease build as farmers Fermin and Karmen stumble upon a mystery that, despite its grim nature, draws you in. The sound design is chilling too, especially with that ominous chapel bell. Not much is known about the director, but the performances, particularly from the leads, are raw and compelling, anchoring the film's exploration of loss and dread. It's not flashy, but there's a real weight to it that sticks with you.
