This concert film captures Deep Purple's electrifying performance in St. Petersburg back in March 2002. The energy of the band is palpable, with Ian Gillan's vocals cutting through the thick atmosphere of a live venue. The camera work is pretty straightforward, but it does a solid job of immersing you in the experience. You can feel the audience's enthusiasm, which adds a layer to the watching. The pacing flows nicely between their classics and some of the newer material, showcasing their evolution while still paying homage to their roots. It's raw and unpolished, just like a live show should be. The musicianship is top-notch, as you'd expect, with moments of improvisation that show their seasoned skills.
