So, 'Discharged' is one of those indie horror flicks that has a weirdly unsettling vibe. The atmosphere is really thick, and it leans heavily into body horror themes, which is interesting considering it's centered around something as mundane as a Q-tip. The pacing is a bit off, but I think it adds to the tension; you're always left waiting for the next strange thing to happen. The practical effects are solid, and they definitely stick with you. Norman's performance is pretty haunting, capturing that mix of relief and dread post-discharge. It's not what you'd expect, and that makes it distinctive in a sea of horror films. You'll probably find yourself thinking about it long after it ends, which is always a good sign in this genre.
