So, Django Strikes Again is this curious mix of action and western, really. You’ve got Django, who was once this badass gunfighter, now turned monk. It’s a whole thing, right? He’s trying to ditch the violence, but then his daughter gets snatched by these rogue Hungarian soldiers - pretty wild premise. The pacing is a bit off at times, but that kinda adds to its charm. The practical effects are worth noting; they have that gritty, raw feel you’d expect from this era. The themes of redemption and liberation theology are woven throughout, which gives it some depth. Performances can be hit or miss, though Django’s struggle with his past is pretty compelling. It’s not your typical spaghetti western, that's for sure.
