Dodie Goes Boom Boom is this quirky comedy that plays with the absurdity of disguise and friendship. It has a light, almost whimsical tone, driven by the antics of Dodie and Rachel as they don their elderly personas. The pacing has a nice bounce to it, keeping the laughter rolling as they stumble through their misadventures. The performances are pretty charming, especially the way the leads embody their characters—it feels genuine, even if the premise is out there, you know? There's something delightfully low-fi about the way they tackle the story, almost reminiscent of classic slapstick. It's distinctive for how it blends youthful rebellion with a playful jab at perceptions of age, which I found refreshing.
