So, 'Don't Run' is one of those indie horror pieces that kind of creeps under your skin. The pacing is deliberate, almost languid at times, which heightens the tension as we follow this drunk guy out on his own. The atmosphere is thick, like you can feel the weight of the night air and Edgy music blending with the sounds of the city. There's some neat practical effects that give it a raw edge, instead of relying too much on digital stuff. The performances are solid too, especially from the lead β you can feel his desperation and fear as this shadowy figure stalks him. It plays with themes of isolation and the consequences of choices in a way that lingers long after the credits roll. Definitely has a unique vibe.
